I find the examples of contemporary Aboriginal architecture throughout Australia to be inspirational in so many aspects, primarily as an example of community strength but also because of modern design elements and spatial organisation that are new and exciting. These modern structures are infused with ancient knowledge as well as hope for the future. Designed for unique indigenous groups in specific locations, these buildings are dynamic.

PROJECT OUTLINE
I am a student at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, W.A., studying History and Anthropology, which I will complete this year. I am hoping I will get into the Honour's program next year which requires a dissertation proposal to be submitted late this year. As part of my research journey I intend to catalogue images and information on examples of modern indigenous architecture in this blog, primarily for my own use but I am content if others find it a useful source.
